Glenna Jean is a well-respected manufacturer of crib bedding that is available through online retailers and baby specialty stores. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of the Rodeo Drive crib set, although with some small reservations. Glenna Jean took no shortcuts with the fabrics used in this collection. The pink and black gingham fabrics are high thread count woven ginghams (as compared to far less expensive printed ginghams). The shopping images are all very detailed and well-executed embroidery. The quality of these fabrics alone more than justify the price of this crib bedding for those who have the room in their budgets. These woven fabrics will retain their vibrant colors and details through whatever you or your baby throw at them.
I was, however, somewhat disappointed in the stitching. At the corners of the quilt, where lengths of fabric are stitched together, the fabrics are overlapped and then sewn together, leaving a flap on the outside of the quilt - with more effort, I believe this could have been avoided. And occasionally, the patches in the quilt do not line up as expected. The workmanship, while somewhat disappointing, does not take away from the overall appearance of the crib set and certainly is more than sufficient to assure durability.
The quilt features a fleece backing, which is the same fabric the fitted sheet is made from. The bumper, while in one continuous piece, is 8.5″ high and includes both top and bottom ties. A noticeable feature of the bumper is the patchwork pattern appears on both sides of the bumper. In most cases, the inward facing part of the bumper features the patterns used in the collection, while the outward facing area is a plaid or another striped fabric used as a background. The crib skirt has a 15.5″ drop to finish the look of your crib.

Most of us will promised ourselves the ultimate body in just few weeks only to repeat the promise before the next event. Yes, yes it is very important to keep up with health, nutrition and regular exercise. However the expectations to look and feel sexy can ruin your day.

Since I have witnessed my clients doing this dance every year and every season I am sharing here my experiences and observations.
• What is body image?
Body image is a perception we hold in our mind of our physical body and this perception also includes our feelings, expectations, comparisons, thoughts, likes and dislikes.
• The divide between mind and body - what we see as opposed to what’s really there.
Our generation is showing the largest disconnect, discontent, disappointments and on… in the gap between what we have/own and what we desire.
Let me put is in terms of what we read in beauty/fashion/cosmetic magazines: We’ve been bombarded with looks, styles, procedures and advice of how to LOOK sexy. Millions of us have tried it all and have achieved the promised LOOK! Anyone can walk into a fine American department store/beauty salon and come out looking sexy.
Alas, so many of us do not FEEL sexy, even when we had achieved the look.
The sexy look has very little to do with the feeling we expect it to produce: just because the perfect looking and ‘hot’ people on TV look happy and smile, but it does not reflect on their reality, intimacy skills and happiness…
We live in a strange misconception that the perfect body will bring perfect life: perfect friends, spouse, happiness and even perfect children.
• How does one develop a negative and/or distorted body image?
Negative attitudes show up in behaviors and feelings when we cannot accept reality: aging, natural attributes (size and shape), disability and diversity. Some of us are obsessed with fashion, comparisons and competitions.
There are several factors that help to initiate negative body image:
First, and most popular is the factor of the massive media (electronic, print etc.) emphasis on perfect bodies.
Second, the combination of low self esteem, peer pressure, jealousy and youth (or not a strong character) could result in poor body image.
Third, we may observe a generation of mothers who have poor body image and raising girls and boys who reflect mothers’ attitude.
Forth, because we are now able to change our physical body through cosmetic procedures, many feel that they are not ‘good enough’ until all options are exercised, even extreme makeovers. We change our body simply because we can!
Fifth, and most important to me, it is the core of body image issues: most people in our culture do not know their body, its boundaries and its potential for pleasure. Therefore, many who suffer from poor body image have no appreciation and respect to own body’s marvel. The human body and our normal healthy life cycle is a miraculous journey. The smart ones among us understand how the body works and appreciate it own wisdom.
• Healthy attitudes towards one’s body.
Healthy attitudes have to do with respect and a healthy sense of reality.
By sense of reality I mean: know your body, love your body and do not expect it to follow your social needs. For example: if you are tall or short (in your perception), these facts of life will not change even if you will/wish them. So you have ‘learned to live’ with your height. Even if you don’t like how tall you are the lessons learned here are valuable: we live with it with small improvements. Do not drive yourself crazy and that is healthy.
Other body attributes are not treated with same respect; we are brutally negotiating the shapes, sizes and weights of all our body parts…
When the rest of the country is making their resolutions for a new sexy body; be smart, make your resolutions for new sensual body image, and get the joy, pleasure and fun your real body can reward you.

For many years it’s been every home movers nightmare, not just the moving and the hassle of packing up home, not just the outrageous taxes, stamp duties and other moving costs. The thought of paying estate agents fees for what’s often known as “money for old rope”. Well the government has now told them to clean up their act. A study showed that one in five buyers were gazumped. This was often due to estate agents marketing properties while under offer.
In Ireland they have moved away from the percentage system as prices have gone out of control. The average cost to sell a house is around £700, which is a lot lower than the average 1.75% that estate agents ask for in England.

An exciting study from Yale shows that intense exercise is far more effective in preventing and controlling diabetes than exercising at a leisurely pace (Journal of Applied Physiology, January 2006). That means that the diabetic who exercises hard enough to sweat and raises his heart rate above 80 percent of its maximum will be far less likely to suffer heart attacks, strokes, blindness, deafness, kidney failure and all the other terrible consequences of uncontrolled diabetes.
Inactive, healthy, non-obese women over 72 years of age were started in training programs of hard (80 percent of aerobic capacity), moderate (65 percent) and easy (50 percent). All three groups did the same amount of work, burning 300 calories per session. The intense group had a great improvement in their ability to use sugar and suppress fat formation, while the low intensity group had little benefit.
That means that intense exercise can help to both prevent and treat diabetes. The most tissue damage occurs immediately after eating when blood sugar levels rise the highest. After you eat, sugar goes from the intestines into the bloodstream. The only places that sugar can be stored are in your muscles and liver. When your muscles are not exercised, they are full of sugar and sugar has no place to go after it enters your bloodstream. On the other hand, when your muscles are exercised, they empty their stored sugar. Then when you eat, sugar can go from the intestines into the bloodstream and then immediately into the muscles, preventing a high rise in blood sugar.
The important news from this study is that the more intensely you exercise, the greater the protection from developing diabetes and the better the control of your diabetes if you already have it. A word of caution: 75 percent of diabetics die from heart disease and some people can suffer heart attacks during intense exercise, so check with your doctor first.

The main problem with many of us is we loose our direction in life. We have great aspirations upon leaving school or college but then just loose direction or do not know how to achieve our dreams. We are all taught the academic basics needed to function in today’s world. We may then study further to achieve a qualification in a particular field. But we are never taught how to achieve real success. You need far more then just qualifications to make a success of your life. It’s a fact that many people have left school with very few or no qualifications, but have still been very successful.
To be successful requires a certain mindset. It’s not “what we do but the way that we do it”, that counts. Two individuals from the same background with the same qualifications could start the same business. One could fail whilst the other could grow and expand into a multi-national business. So its not your education, it’s not your background and it’s definitely not luck, it’s your mindset.
Look. Don’t say to yourself, “oh that’s all very well but you need money to make money”, or “you need luck to succeed”. You don’t. With the correct mindset, focus and an understanding of how things work, you will create wealth and luck for yourself in abundance.

It is possible to link pain and fear to an unknown event. For example; you have never flown before and you are scared of flying in an airplane. You are frightened for no logical reason. You might have read about a plane, which crashed in the paper. And consequently believe your plane may crash. The truth is this fear a fear of the unknown. Before you can fear it you must experience it. You must make sure that you live your life in the present and respond to things, which are real. Do not allow your fears of what once was or what might someday be.
The key thing to remember is that you do not move away from real fear or pain, you move away from what you believe will lead to fear or pain.
Most people will never succeed because they cannot master the power of concentration, the power of the mind or the power of the universe. Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can command when we focus all of our resources on a single area of our lives. It is a fact that all people both men and women can make a success of their life and can achieve great riches in both monetary terms and ultimate happiness.

March was a trying month for the famous dynamic duo of tennis, sisters Serena and Venus Williams. Through the death of a beloved relative and injuries on the court, the queens of the court have held together and remained the depiction of a close, sisterly bond.
On March 23, Robert Maxfield, a member of the Crips gang, pleaded no contest in the 2003 shooting of the pros’ sister Yetunde Price. Price was sitting in a vehicle with her boyfriend when Maxfield took her life, allegedly believing the car encased members of a rival gang.
Physically, both had to side-step their love of the game due to injuries sustained on the court.
A ligament sprain forced Venus to withdraw from the Nasdaq 100 Open in Florida in late March, while Serena Williams bowed out of the Nasdaq Open in Miami due to a knee injury.
While times are tough, the sisters shouldn’t throw in the towel. The duo has become a single element for success. They have won 11 major single titles between them.
In 1999, they became the first sisters to win a Grand Slam crown together in the 20th century by winning the French Open doubles title; and by playing together in the finals of the 2001 US Open, the marked history in being the first sisters to have made it to the finals of a Grand Slam tournament. Lifting and peeling paint from epoxy coverings, coatings and seals are too often the end product of efforts to dress up a garage, shop or basement. A lifting and peeling problem is worse than having no finish at all. The eyesore of blisters, peeling, and chipping of a floor gone wrong is testimonial to a failure in preparation. Fortunately, after 40 years of development technology in flooring, one should no longer rely on raw materials like muriatic acid (Hydrochloric) to clean and prep your floor. Applicators now realize that an “acid etch” using a simple raw muriatic acid is no cure all. Integrated systems for preparing concrete properly can now avoid disasters that leave garages looking worse than before they were coated.
Preparation is everything when applying finishes. You can only expect a surface to stay in place if its substrate is permanent. Obviously, if the substrate crumbles or moves, your surface will move with it. Today, after 40 years of application experience, flooring experts have developed application preparation procedures that help minimize the risk of substrates moving. New floors are especially vulnerable and require extensive preparation. New concrete is dusty for the first few years while the latents of concrete on the surface are kicked, walked, or driven off. Those latents must be removed before quality epoxy topcoats are applied or the topcoats will move with the latents as they break free from the substrate.
Blasting away part of your floor often leaves corn rows cut into the floor due to over lap, and will need to be filed. Blasting often just brings you down to a new level of contamination. It is often better to clean 100% of the surface using chemicals that are designed to work together in an integrated system to assure a clean, solid surface. When you wash your clothing your detergent uses a change in pH to help release soils. Water softeners and rinse agents are blended into laundry detergents, dish shops and even shampoos to assist the pH change in releasing soils and contaminants.
Cleaning first with a high pH or alkaline degreaser attacks oil and grease contaminants while moving the floor pH higher. Next slamming your dirty surface with a low pH acidic cleaner attacks minerals, rust and other particles, makes your pH jump 10 points or better to shock contaminants loose from substrates. The acidic cleaner should have detergents, rinse agents and water softeners blended into it so you know that it is formulated to do the best job possible. It is vitally important to bring your pH back to normal 6.5 or 7 pH after cleaning, with a scrub rinse. Have you ever run your finger across your car after pressure washing only to find it still has a thin layer of road film on it? Surface tension holds even high pressure from penetrating many films. You need to break the surface tension with contact during all three steps of cleaning. The more aggressive the contact the better for removing concrete latents, small particles of concrete that are ready to break of to become that endless dust coming off unquoted concrete floors.
Rotary scrubbers, similar to what a school custodian utilizes, can be fitted with stiff bristle brushes using carbide chips imbedded in flexible nylon bristles to scrub your floor. The bristles dive into mall pours, cracks, and holes to help strip away fragile cement particles that are softer than the exposed carbide chips. These scrubbers should be used for your alkaline cleaning, your acidic cleaning, and for your final rinse cleaning. Scrub rinsing stops the chemical action of your cleaners and provides a liquid medium to bring your floor pH back to neutral and flush contaminants and residual detergents away. Once dry (1 to 4 hours) you are ready for your coating, paint, epoxy or seal.
Epoxy flooring is weather-resistant, and unharmed by rain, snow, oil, and flooding. This resistance is due to the fact that epoxy coatings, unlike paints, come in two parts. When mixed, a catalyzing process changes these two parts from a liquid to a permanent solid. In contrast, paints are carried in water or solvent bases that evaporate to leave the finish. If you reintroduce one of those carriers to the surface, the paint often is able to re-dissolve back into a liquid state.
Even though painted garage finishes are formulated to resist dissolving into their carriers, under stress they can be susceptible to blistering, peeling, and chipping. But water and most solvents have no effect on sealed epoxy surfaces. Epoxy flooring goes on at the job site and requires no seams, creating a continuous membrane that seals what is above from what is below. These epoxy surfaces have been used in food processing plants for over 50 years now. Mold, mildew and other contaminants cannot penetrate the epoxy membrane, and wash off easily.
One should not rely on retail store clerks to help with a floor that will be used for 10 to 20 years. For every gymnast, there is a different motivational need.
This is the same in anything, really — we all have
different ways in which we are given confidence in
ourselves, no matter what we do. Whether we write or draw,
sing or dance, we all need encouragement. Indeed, gymnasts
need encouragement in their sport more than many, because
they are actually attempting to train their bodies and
their minds in order to move correctly, to be able to take
the strain of the sport. As a parent of a gymnast, there
are many ways in which you can motivate your child. Some
of them might work. Some of them might not. Find what is
most comfortable for you and your gymnast and stick with
it. It’s easier for you both that way.
Show Interest
First and foremost, in order to motivate a child–most
certainly a gymnast–you need to show interest in what they
are doing. If he or she feels as though you are
uninterested in the sport as a whole, then they may become
discouraged all together. How do you show interest, even
if gymnastics aren’t your absolute favorite sport in the
world? Actually, it’s pretty easy. First, you can warm up
with them before they train. Join in with their stretches
or their jogging, if you can. It feels good and it sets an
example. If you don’t want to run around with them, then
you can ask them about their days at practice. What did
they do? What did they learn? Many young gymnasts will
jump at the chance to teach their parents something. It
gives them the sense that you have things to learn from
them, and all around, it is a wholesome feeling. Finally,
it’s a good idea to attend at least one of their practices
every once in a while. Make the effort. It will be
worthwhile for everyone concerned. Also, good
communication with the coaches can be established there,
which can certainly be beneficial.
Education
Education about the sport is a great way to motivate your
young gymnast! For the enthusiast, this should be an easy
matter. Just take care not to overwhelm your child with
too much information at once. There is no dearth of
exciting information out there about gymnastics, from the
types of maneuvers that can be made in the many variations
of the sport: rings, vaulting, parallel bars, and so on.,
to the salaries of professional gymnastics specialists in
circuses and theatrical shows, to the accomplishments of
gymnasts around the globe. This can certainly foster
interest. If indeed it does, then encourage them to pursue
it!
Positive Feedback
When your child is involved with gymnastics, it is always
good to offer them positive feedback, no matter what they
do. Instead of pointing out flaws directly, you should
give them praise for what they did correctly in their
drills or in their competitions. Don’t allow them to get
down about doing things incorrectly or incompletely –
instead, keep their spirits up by telling them to repeat
what they did correctly before. This is usually used in
conjunction with constructive criticism, and it generally
works the best out of all of the motivational methods for
the most people. For some, it can be somewhat irritating;
some actually prefer honest criticism so that they can
improve by knowing what they did wrong. For the majority,
it is heartening to hear someone say, “Well, this was
really impressive…”
Constructive Criticism
Used in conjunction with positive feedback, constructive
criticism gives an athlete an idea of what needs
improvement in a tactful and non-offensive way. If your
child is particularly sensitive to criticism, it may be a
good idea to just offer positive feedback, but most
generally, the combination of the two works nicely
together. There is a note you must be aware of before you
give your child any amount of constructive criticism, and
that is its timing. It’s advisable not to do so right
after they have finished their training session. Wait
until just before they start the next one, so they have
some perspective on what they need to improve upon, without
feeling as though you’re ready to “shoot them down,” so to
speak. They’ll definitely appreciate it.
Competition/Reward
Finally, for the more experienced gymnast, there is the
concept of competition-and-reward in the sport. This is
sometimes used by coaches to encourage their athletes to
compete against one another and to improve, all with the
promise of some kind of reward. It may be a pizza party,
it may be a day off, it really depends upon what level of
the sport your child is in. You can use it to your
advantage, too, in just about any way you can imagine!
Take note that punishment is not one of the recommended
motivational methods. Punishment is always negative and
decreases motivation in the long term. In fact, it may
even lead to the development of phobias or aversions in the
future.
With this in mind, I hope that your gymnast is motivated
and successful!

This next event will be a major one! The Bible says that in the latter days, Russia and what appears to be Iran, Libya, Turkey and possibly Sudan will descend upon Israel and try to destroy her.
Israel will have no chance to win against this large army that will attempt to come against her. However, as you will see in the Scripture verse listed below, God the Father will come to her rescue and will literally wipe this army off the face of the earth. Here are the basic facts and Scripture verses that will tell you exactly what is going to happen with this awesome event.
1. The word “Gog” as will be mentioned in the Scripture verse below has been determined by many Bible historians to be referring to what is now the country of Russia.
The other strange names that you will see listed below have been determined to be Iran, Libya, Turkey and possibly Poland and Sudan. All of these countries will be joining forces with Russia to try and destroy Israel. You already know that most of the Arab nations hate Israel and would love nothing better than to have a chance to wipe her out.
2. When reading the Scripture verses listed below, you will notice that it appears to be God the Father who is the One who will be pulling Russia and her allies out to come against His chosen people. The Bible says:
“I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws and lead you out.”
3. The Bible says that Israel will be dwelling safely in her land when this event happens - so this cannot be occurring at the midpoint of the Tribulation. It has to occur sometime before the midpoint. The Jews will not be living in peace and safety during the midpoint of the Tribulation because the Antichrist will be starting to massacre them once he sits himself in their temple proclaiming himself to be God.
The Bible says that after God destroys this army that will come against Israel, that it will take seven months to bury the dead and 7 years to burn all of their weapons left on the battlefield. If it is going to take 7 years to burn their weapons, this event will probably occur at least 7 years if not longer before the midpoint of the Tribulation to give the Jewish people that amount of time to be able to complete this kind of task. Remember, in the first half of the Tribulation, the Antichrist will make establish some kind of peace treaty with Israel -which may help explain how Israel could be in any kind of peace as described in the Scripture verse below.
4. How does God destroy this army coming against His people? He will do it in 6 ways. This will be the wrath of God coming into full manifestation against this invading army! God will be releasing the following judgments against this army:
- A great earthquake
- Pestilence, disease and bloodshed

- This army will then be so decimated by all of the above judgments, that they will then start fighting and killing on another - probably in an effort to get away from all of this which they will not be able to do.
The Bible says that God will have “FURY IN HIS FACE” and that He will render all of the above judgments because of the JEALOUSY FOR HIS OWN PEOPLE. His fury and jealousy in seeing this army try to come against His chosen people will cause Him to release His Wrath against them in full force.
The release of His wrath will be so powerful when He releases these specific judgments against this invading army - that the Bible says that all the creatures and all of the people on this earth will be shaking at His presence.
I believe God is making a powerful statement to the rest of the world with this event. The Scripture verse listed below says that God will magnify Himself and that all of the nations of the world will know that He is the Lord after all of these events unfold!
I believe that this one event alone will cause a lot of people to get saved. It will be so supernatural in its outcome, that people will be looking for answers - and if the Church has not been raptured at this point, Christians will be able to provide answers to the rest of the world as to what just happened and how it all was prophesied to occur back in the Old Testament.
The Scripture Verse
1. Here is the main verse that very clearly and very graphically describes this incredible event. This verse is out of Ezekiel in the Old Testament.
“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, set your face against Gog, the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meschech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,” and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God; “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meschech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them with shield and helmet … After many days you will be visited.
In the LATTER YEARS you will come back into the land of those brought back from sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”
Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: you will say, ‘I will go against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land …’
Thus says the Lord God: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it? Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army. You will come against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land.
It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed on you O Gog, before their eyes …”
“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God,
“That My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there will be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence.
The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’
“I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountain,” says the Lord God, “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire and brimstone.
Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” (Ezekiel 38:1-23)
2. Now here is the verse that says that it will take 7 months to bury the dead after God personally destroys this invading army and 7 years to burn all of their weapons that are still left on the battlefield.
“Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and bucklers, the bows and arrows, the javelin and spears, and they will make fires with them for seven years … It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel … for seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. Indeed all the people of the land will be burying them, and they will gain renown for it on the day that I am glorified,” says the Lord God. (Ezekiel 39:9-13)
Conclusion
Just imagine all of the above events captured on our TV sets. The whole world is going to see the aftermath of God’s wrath on this invading army. If the Church is not raptured before this incredible event occurs, a lot of people will be looking to Christians for some of the answers to this event. By the time this event does occur, many Christians will have knowledge on all of these end time events. We will then be able to show others who are not saved how this entire event was already foretold to happen in the Old Testament.
This one event alone will help prove to others the existence of our God, that He is real and that the Bible is the one and only true Word of God. God will be making a very powerful statement to the rest of the world through this one main event in an effort to try and get as many people saved as He possibly can before things really start to heat up with all of the events that will be occurring in the Great Tribulation.
Russia and all the Arab nations surrounding Israel need to be watched very closely in the coming years. Do you even wonder why so much time and attention is being focused on Israel and all of their “battles” with their Arab neighbors? That is because God is purposely focusing the world’s attention on Israel due to the prominent position she will be playing in all of these end time events.
We have a lot to look forward to in the coming years as world events slowly start to take the shape and form as prophesied out of the Bible.
