The Euro lotto was originally established by the national lotteries of Spain, the UK and France and was disclosed in February-04. The 1st lottery draw was on February 13-04 in Paris. The Spain, France and the UK were the only nations partaking in the beginning but lotteries from Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and Ireland likewise became active on October 2004.
The Euromillions lottery or the Euro Lottery, as it’s usually better-known, gathers the lottery ticket receipts of the nine partaking Euro countries awarding a mammoth European Lottery jackpot. With the quantity of countries joining the Euro on the increase, that will without a doubt lead to even more countries partaking in the Euro lotto. A growth in the number of individuals partaking in the European Lottery will lead to a continuing increase of the already giant Euro Lotto jackpots.
Every player has to choose 5 main numbers from 1 to 50 and 2 Lucky Star numbers from 1 to 9. During the lotto draw, five primary plus two “lucky-star” numbers are then chosen at random from two lottery draw machines containing numbered balls.
Euro Lottery Awards
The probability of scooping up the Euro Lotto jackpot is a remote one : 76 million but the probability of winning a cash prize is a somewhat decent 1 in 24. When the “jackpot” is not won on a given lottery draw, it is brought forward to the following week which results in an ever increasing jackpot prize. Recent rules brought in on the 09.02.2007 define the amount of successive roll overs to 11, with the jackpot rolled down to smaller prize levels on the 11th draw when the prize is not collected.
The new regulations likewise initiated European “Super Draw” which happen twice annually and offer jackpots in the region of 100 million pounds. The difference with Super Draws is that the jack-pot must be won during the week of the draw; this means, when there is no ticket corresponding, all the numbers drawn and the top prize will be distributed to the lotto ticket holder(s) in the succeeding winning prize tier.
Wish Lanterns supports Make-A-Wish, a wonderful charity that that grants wishes to children and young people who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. A percentage of Wish Lanterns’ profits go towards the inspiring work that Make-A-Wish does. The charity was founded in the late 1980s, and have since then granted thousands of wishes to those in need throughout the UK. With an aim of granting twenty three wishes a week-that’s three a day- by 2010, this is a crucial facet in our ever-cynical and brutal society. A wish could be as simple as wanting to be a princess for a day of have a cup of tea with David Beckham for an hour. It may not seem much, but it can make all the difference to a child who is in desperate need of feeling that the world is on their side for a change. Make-A-Wish can provide lasting memories that families and individuals can treasure forever. That’s why Wishlantern.co.uk is proud to be associated with such a special and under-acknowledged charity. Wish Lanterns are not just decorative light displays, they are a symbolic gesture of goodwill. While launching your lantern, always remember to make a wish, and you never know, it may come true
Marianne was twelve and her brother, Manfred, was four growing up in 1947 Germany. Getting all dressed up for a nice dinner in a restaurant with friends, Manfred looked cute in his tan and white vertically striped short sleeved shirt and matching short pants. A Bavarian feathered hat sat jauntily on his head. Needing a few more minutes to get ready, his mother sent him to wait outside on the step for a few minutes. Manfred happily hopped outside in the sun and they closed the door. One minute later, Manfred knocked to get in. He stood there dripping from head to toe in black, gooey mud! It seems there were these two boards covering a large mud puddle just waiting for someone to jump as high as they could and come down on the pivot, creating enough muddy water to keep ten pigs happy.
A call for Manfred to dinner usually got answered from a height. He loved to climb trees, shredding his cotton shorts to resemble a beribboned skirt. The standard question, “Did you wash your hands?” prompted Manfred to approach the dribble of water with two extended fingers, dabbing daintily at his cheeks, all the while grumbling to himself that whoever invented washing should be punished. At the dinner table, Manfred’s sudden jerks and wiggles alerted his mother to the fact that Manfred liked to collect small animals. A demand for him to empty his pockets revealed nails, stones, bits of paper, crickets, and even a salamander. It was this pet of the lizard kingdom that caused the tickles and squirming at the table. Wringing every bit of use out of the salamander, Manfred gleefully poked it in his sister’s face making unlikely lizard noises. This demonstration was met with satisfying screams and overturned chairs.
On another occasion, Marianne was ordered to take Manfred with her to the movies. A previous experience caused her to make sure he didn’t have to go to the bathroom before they left. Manfred insisted that he was fine and didn’t have to go. Halfway through the movie, ‘Gaslight’, at the scariest part, Manfred whispered that he had to go. The rest rooms were located far at the other end of the building so Marianne ordered him to hold it until the end of the movie. This was not to be when suddenly Manfred shuddered in a high voice and warbled for everyone to hear, “Now it’s in my pants!” It was many years until Marianne finally saw the end of ‘Gaslight’.
Despite the persistent rumor, boys are not born in cabbage patches and girls in rose gardens. They do have parents. Mosts parents behave friendly, wish their kids being successful and support teacher’s efforts. Some other are, let’s say, less supportive, and teachers would prefer that pupils come from roses and cabbages.
One morning, I arrived at the school, singing, like usual, when a mother suddenly appeared and asked me:
- Is it you who teach my son French and Latin?
I knew neither who she was, nor, consequently, who her son was. Completely unaware of what I was going to trigger, I answered quietly:
- I don’t know.
- What? You even don’t know who your pupils are? And they entrust you with the education of our children! (As she began shouting, a crowd gathered.) Believe me, I will make a report on you. Consider yourself fired. And, and … and…
She thought she had the keys of hell and could throw me into it.
I was waiting for the moment she would be short of cartridges (or short of breathe). It came.
- Excuse-me, Madame, but which teacher do you want to talk to?
Her jaw fell open. As I had hoped, she contemplated no longer that I could be the teacher she wanted to tell off, though it was an eventuality. She turned on her heel and walked away.
I still don’t know who she was; she never attended a staff meeting with parents participating. Alas! I needed a gardener.

Well, I hope you did not read that headline wrong, Crew Member Starbucks is not doing Paris Hilton. What I am saying here is Starbucks will now be offered in some Hilton Hotels. Just think you can watch Paris the skinny blonde babe on your infomercial in room TV ad for a Starbucks, run down to the lobby to and buy a fattening Frappachino.
Imagine the benefits of having Starbucks in your room? Sounds good and while you are on vacation who cares if you get fat and look like crap in our bathing suit by the pool. Chances are Paris Hilton will not be there anyway, she will be in Paris getting married to a different Paris? If all this is just getting too darn confusing for you, do not worry about it. But realize your Starbucks Card will not work in Hilton Hotels but they do take American Express?
Starbucks will be continually adding world wide partners to promote their brand and are big on entering the Chinese Market by way of franchising or license branding with Chinese Partners. Just think all those skinny Chinese people who now smoke two packs of day of US Cigarettes will be able to get nice and plumb on over priced frappachinos. Isn’t that wonderful. The only problem I see is will 1.2 Billion Chinese people run out of space in their country? And will they be able to squeeze them all into the Jet Liners when they come to America to sell their wares. Or will the A-380 be ready for much bigger seats for all these newly rich, cancer ridden, over weight, Charlie Chocolate Factory rolly polly Chinese?
Think on Globalization, ya gotta love it.

Mild whiplash symptoms can disappear within a month but those that result in accident claimsare a very different matter. When the injury occurs in a serious traffic incident it will take up to a month to get back full health, the whiplash symptoms can be reasonably managed. In rare cases the whiplash symptoms, sometimes caused by a head trauma and also by repetitive straining of the neck, can have debilitating consequences.
Thankfully the whiplash symptoms that a solicitor has to deal with occur from a common jolt of the head during a car collision. If the whiplash symptoms are mild a slight stiffness in the joints is all that will really happen. Whatever way the head has moved the whiplash symptoms are the same. Usually whiplash symptoms require only a few drugs and plenty of rest, an accident claim can’t really be justified, although often they are pursued.
Although whiplash symptoms are presumed to only be caused in motor accidents this isn’t the case. As any solicitor will tell you there are numerous other ways that people acquire whiplash symptoms. The damage caused to the neck from injured tendons and ligaments can have slight long term effects. Whiplash symptoms sound far less painful than can be imagined.
Bruce Wayne is a millionaire and has butler named Alfred. Bruce spends most of his day dealing with his companies. When he is finished with his day of work, he fights crime in the streets of the city during the night.
This superhero is different from others, due to the fact that he has no superpowers. He relies on his gadgets and bat suit to fight crime. The bat suit looks a bat, and it is bullet proof. It also has a cape that turns into a glider whenever he freefalls from multi-story buildings. This helps him land safely and makes him seem as though he is flying like a bat. This suit also has a belt but it is not a normal belt, it’s a utility belt, and it carries all Batman’s gadgets used for crime fighting.
One of the most used gadgets is called the grapping hook. This gadget is like a gun, but has a hook loaded in it that is attached to a rope. Batman uses the grappling hook when he needs to reach the top of a high building from the ground. He points the grappling hook at the building and pulls the trigger. The hook fires into the air and clamps onto the edge of the building. He then presses the trigger again and the rope launches him to the top of the building. This gadget also is use for swinging through the city.
Batman faces lots of criminals who have guns, and he has a gadget called a batarangs which takes care of them. He just throws the batarangs at the criminal and knocks the gun out of their hand. When he criminals are trying to run from him, he uses a similar gadget which incorporates a rope which emerges when thrown and ties up the criminal.
Batman also has gas capsules which he uses to escape. He just throws the capsule down on the ground and it creates a gas that fills the room and he disappears.
Batman’s car, the Batmobile, is equipped with a high tech computer which can scan the area for crime. It also has a built in gun and smoke screens. This is a high powered car that has fire in the tail pipes. When the car is going at top speed and needs to make a narrow turn, Batman just uses the grappling hook that’s built in to the Batmobile. The hook comes out of the door, connects to a lamp post and allows him to make the narrow turn.
The Batman comics are not all about the gadgets. Batman is a great detective and solves criminal cases. Using his detecting and crime fighting skills, he keeps the city free of crime.
This comic is not like other comics that have super heroes because this hero mostly fights during the night time and uses only his gadget and kung fu skills.
The Broken Fountain by Thomas Belmonte is a powerful book that shows greatly the struggle and life of the poor class. It gives a strong sense of urban life through the story of a Neapolitan neighborhood. It goes beyond that, though. There is much more than a gritty street and rundown buildings. There is much more than the poor people walking by and emotion filled families. There is an underlying theme of humanity, of justice and injustice, that the reader can not help but be touched by.
The imagery is strong and brings the book to life. The reader gets a true sense of what it is like to be in the neighborhood. The description of buildings and people captivate the minds and bring a world of humanity into light. Whether it be in the streets or the homes themselves, the reader feels that they have some experience now in this awkward world even if they are so distant from its location. The setting of Naples does not distract from this either. It does not give us just a look on Italy, but rather the whole world. One could apply such hardships and feelings across the whole spectrum of mankind.
His portrayal of the people is unique and touching. He doesn’t just cast them aside as poor and give us little glimpses of their lives. He lets the reader live as one themselves and experience what is meant to be experienced in this story. From acts of thievery and abuse to pain and sorrow and plenty of fear, he captures it all so intricately in the characters and creatures an environment that the reader gets so enrapt in that they almost becomes a character themselves.
The insight and depth that the author provides is a great part to the achievement of the book. The willingness to open his soul and become one with the story allows the audience to feel that they know this person, that they have a better understanding of this life and story. The emotions, the actions, the things unsaid all bond together and bring the words to life. There is so much to the subject, and so many subjects to follow. Not only is it a book about the poor, but it is a book about family and friends, about economy and civilization, about social structure and conditions, about Italy and most importantly about humanity.
It is clear to understand from reading this how it is a classic to the study of anthropology and sociology. A classical tale of human survival and endurance, The Broken Fountain transcends beyond just a work of literature and into a tale of human depth in spirit and body. Not only do we get insight of the author and the neighborhood he brings to life, but the audience gets insight of themselves. Through this they analyze their own life and are simply touched by the pure human displayed in a book.
