{July 22, 2009}   Astrologer Releases Parenting Guide

Sherrynnne Dalby’s recently published book is no ordinary parenting guide.

The Springwood mother of seven, including a child with special needs, grandmother to eight and two-time receiver of the `Mother of the Year’ award has written ”Star Parenting: What astrology reveals about your child’s personality and potential”.

She will be signing copies of the book in the Big W store in Westfield Penrith Plaza on Thursday, July 23, from 6pm. She has written love horoscopes in the past but her book represents a new stage in her life.

Publisher Allen & Unwin described the book as “a key addition to any parenting bookshelf”.

“In a lively, accessible and detailed guide, Sherrynne explores the sun signs and their relationships to planetary movement and alignment, and how this affects our children; their strengths, vulnerabilities, traits and potential.”

“More than just astrology, more than just parenting, this book goes in depth to explain why our children reach their milestones at different ages, why some rebel, why some are good at sports, why some of them are artists, why some dream and why some lead.

“A fresh, approachable and contemporary format, Star Parenting will help parents understand the strengths and levels of their child, how to encourage and nurture them and help them thrive.

“Packed full of practical tips, the book covers a whole range of issues from toilet training and suitable activities for that child, to the best feeding and sleeping routines.”

Dalby was the president of the Astrology Association of NSW between 1997 and 2002 and vice president of the Australian Professional Astrologers until 2006.
